In response to the direct learning plan of the People’s Committee and the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, from December 13, 2021, Lawrence S. Ting School welcomes students of Grade 9 and 12 back to school.
In order to prepare for 378 students including 246 students of Grade 9 and 132 students of Grade 12 to return to school after online study for nearly 1 semester of the 2021-2022 school year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the school has prepared and implemented many plans to ensure safety of students. In addition to preparing quarantine rooms, regulating the flow of traffic, installing equipment and supplies for pandemic prevention and control such as protective gear, SARS-CoV2 antigen rapid test kits, blood pressure monitors, Spo2 meters, oxygen machines, electronic thermometers, thermal scanners, etc., the school also held a meeting with parents of students of Grade 9 and 12 (December 07), organized training on pandemic prevention for students of Grade 9 and 12 (December 9), training for teachers and staff (December 10) and a practice on the response plan for suspected cases of COVID-19 at the school.
To ensure pandemic prevention and limit the number of students during the pilot period from December 13 to December 24, 2021, Lawrence S. Ting School applies a staggered arrangement of school days to students of Grade 9 and 12, and alternates face-to-face and online learning for students on weekdays. Besides, in order to ensure the learning benefits for students who are not able to get back to school, the school carries out two parallel methods: face-to-face and online on the face-to-face learning days.
