On February 29, 2024, at Phu My Hung Tower, Phu My Hung hosted The Award Ceremony for The Phu My Hung Spring Flower Festival’s Photo Contest.
This photo contest is an integral part of The Phu My Hung Spring Flower Festival 2024. Its purpose is to showcase the captivating moments captured by visitors attending the festival throughout the years of its organization. Upon its launch on the Facebook platform, the contest garnered over 200 entries, comprising approximately 1,600 photos.
A panel of judges, consisting of representatives from Phu My Hung and a member of the Vietnam Photography Association, meticulously reviewed the submissions. They selected winning photos and photo series that met the contest’s criteria, awarding first, second, third prizes, and consolation prizes accordingly. Moreover, the contest recognized 10 people’s choice prizes for entries that demonstrated exceptional interaction.
During the award ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tho, Vice President of Phu My Hung, extended gratitude on behalf of the Organizer to the participants who supported the contest, contributing to Phu My Hung’s effort of spreading community values.
Photography artist Le Hoang Men, a jury member, praised the contest’s community-oriented nature and the meaningful narratives associated with each photo submitted, capturing the essence of the Phu My Hung Spring Flower Festival.
Pham Nhut Thuong, the first prize winner, reflected, “Having worked near Phu My Hung, I was familiar with the Spring Flower Festival. I frequently visited and captured photos, resulting in a collection spanning several years”.
Nguyen Thanh Tung, recipient of the second prize, recalled, “My winning photo was taken on the first day of Tet this year, capturing the excitement of visitors to Phu My Hung Flower Road on New Year’s Day”.
Nguyen Thi Thu Nga, third prize winner, shared, “The contest holds immense personal significance for me. Reflecting on my family’s 13 years of participation in the Phu My Hung Spring Flower Festival through the photos, I witness my child’s growth journey, from infancy to nearly matching the height of their parents. It’s truly moving!”.
