Lawrence S. Ting Foundation just handed over 10 renovated gratitude houses to 10 disadvantaged households in Thanh Binh Commune, Cho Gao County, Tien Giang Province with a total cost of VND 400 million. This project aims to respond to the call of Thanh Binh commune authorities to join hands in poverty alleviation, creating conditions for poor households to sustainable poverty reduction.

Lawrence S. Ting Foundation supports the repairing and renovating costs of these degraded houses of households in difficult circumstances due to lack of arable land, poor health, old age and diseases. Each renovated charity house is worth from VND 50 to 70 million, of which the Foundation supports VND 40 million, the rest is contributed by the household. The new houses not only help families have a more stable residence, but also give them more motivation to confidently overcome adversity.
This is the second time Lawrence S. Ting Foundation has implemented a community support program in Thanh Binh Commune, Cho Gao County, Tien Giang Province. In 2019, the Foundation sponsored VND 600 million to build 12 new gratitude houses for disadvantaged people in this area.
