Parking in Non-Designated Areas: Risks of Theft and Penalties

On the evening of October 26, 2026, Phu My Hung Security detected two individuals stealing helmets left on parked motorbikes belonging to visitors at the entrance gate of P2 Park, opposite N Street, Tan Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, through its surveillance camera system. Security personnel immediately arrived at the scene, apprehended the suspects, and notified Tan Hung Ward Police, who subsequently took over the case.

Initial investigations revealed that the two suspects, identified as N.T.A.N. and T.H.K.L., both residing in the former District 4, admitted to stealing the helmets. The seized evidence included two stolen helmets with a total estimated value of VND 1.2 million. The suspects, their vehicle, and the evidence were subsequently handed over to Tan Hung Ward Police for further investigation and handling.

Notably, prior to the incident, Phu My Hung Security had repeatedly conducted patrols, issued reminders, and installed warning signs advising visitors to P2 Park that parking at the entrance gate (opposite N Street) is prohibited outside designated parking areas. Vehicles parked at this location are left unattended and are therefore vulnerable to theft. Authorities have also issued penalties for numerous parking violations at this location.

Following this incident, and to ensure the safety of visitors’ property and maintain security and public order, Phu My Hung Security urges all visitors to P2 Park to park their vehicles in the designated parking lot inside the park.
