On the afternoon of September 19, 2026, the Phu My Hung Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 was held at P2 Park in the Phu My Hung City Center, attracting thousands of children and parents.
The festival created a lively and festive atmosphere, featuring a variety of activities that celebrated the traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Highlights included two competitions for children: the Traditional Star Lantern-Making Competition and the Mid-Autumn Painting Competition. Participating teams competed enthusiastically while embracing the innocence and joy of the festival. The Organizer also presented awards and gifts to the winning contestants and teams.
The event stage came alive with vibrant artistic performances hosted by Chú Cuội and Chị Hằng (the Moon Man and the Moon Sister). Performances including lion dances, singing, magic shows, and plays were enthusiastically cheered on and enjoyed by the children. In particular, the lantern parade and festive feast offered children memorable opportunities to experience the traditional culture of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The Phu My Hung Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 also offered a wide range of traditional folk games, including tug-of-war, sack racing, Mandarin Square Capturing (ô ăn quan), and bamboo bridge walking. Children could also take part in hands-on, educational, and creative activities such as lantern making, making traditional toy figurines (tò he), learning how to plant and care for trees, and crafting DIY bracelets.
In addition to free admission and complimentary games and activities, the Phu My Hung Mid-Autumn Festival distributed approximately 2,000 gift packages—including lanterns, sweets, teddy bears, toys, backpacks, and more—to children who participated in the activities and games.
