On the morning of October 11, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Tan My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu My Hung Corporation and Lawrence S. Ting Foundation held The 23rd Lawrence S. Ting Scholarship Awards and Donation Presentation of 2025”.
At the ceremony, Phu My Hung Corporation and Lawrence S. Ting Foundation awarded scholarships up to VND 8.8 billion, including both direct and indirect forms of support.
For direct scholarships, this year, there are 113 scholarships, worth nearly VND 3.8 billion in total. These were granted to cover full tuition fees for one academic year for students from 10 universities who are in difficult circumstances, demonstrate outstanding academic performances along with extracurricular involvement and community services.
Covering a full academic year of tuition marks an adjustment of the 2025 Lawrence S. Ting Scholarship, aimed helping recipents to be feel ease on financial burden and able to focus better on their studies. The value of each scholarship is not fixed like previous years. It depends on the total number of credits for the courses within the student’s officially registered major.
The funding for these scholarships was contributed by numerous partners, including the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in HCMC, Phu My Hung Asia Holdings Group, Phu My Hung Corporation, Tan Thuan Corporation, Phu Hung Financial Group, China Construction (S.E.A) Corporation Ltd. (CSCEC), CX Technology Vietnam, Saigon South International School (SSIS), Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), BIDV, Vietcombank – Nam Sai Gon Branch, Bank of China, Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank, Shanghai Commercial & Savings Bank, ACB, Vietinbank, Cathay United Bank (CUB), Indovina Bank, VIB, SinoPac Bank, Hua Nan Bank, Mega ICBC Bank, First Commercial Bank, China Trust Bank, New Live service Trading Company Ltd., ACT Telecom Company, and other businesses and Donors.
For indirect scholarships, through the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation, Phu My Hung Corporation donated VND 5 billion to various funds and charitable associations, including the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, HCMC Fund for the Poor, HCMC Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients, HCMC Sponsoring Association for People with Disabilities & Orphans, and Study Encouragement Associations across provinces and cities nationwide.
These organizations will be on behalf of the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation and Phu My Hung Corporation to evaluate and award scholarships to disadvantaged students, children with disabilities, orphans, and ethnic minority students,… across local communities.
The Lawrence S. Ting Scholarship is one of many long-term educational support initiatives implemented by the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation over the years. After 20 years, Phu My Hung Corporation and the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation have awarded approximately 125,878 scholarships — both direct and indirect supports— with a total value of nearly VND 160 billion.
