A total of 113 students from 10 universities will be awarded the Lawrence S. Ting Scholarship at The 23rd Lawrence S. Ting Scholarship Awards and Donation Presentation for 2025, to be held on October 11, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Tan My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
These scholarship recipients are students facing financial hardship who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and active engagement in community activities. Each Lawrence S. Ting Scholarship will cover full tuition fees for one academic year, with a total sponsorship value of VND 3.8 billion.
The universities with students receiving the 2025 Lawrence S. Ting Scholarship include: Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), Hanoi University of Law, Danang University of Science and Technology, University of Economics – HCMC, HCMC University of Technology, University of Sciences (VNU-HCMC), HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Medicine and Pharmacy (HCMC), HCMC University of Education, HCMC University of Law.
At the same ceremony, Phu My Hung Corporation, through Lawrence S. Ting Foundation, will also donate VND 5 billion in scholarships to various national charitable organizations and education promotion associations, enabling them to award scholarships locally. Over the past 20 years, Phu My Hung and Lawrence S. Ting Foundation have granted approximately 125,878 scholarships—both directly and indirectly—worth nearly VND 160 billion. These scholarships have supported disadvantaged students, ethnic minority children, children with disabilities, and orphans, helping them continue their education, develop their potential, and contribute to nurturing Vietnam’s future talent.
