Ho Chi Minh City – The Phu My Hung Spring Flower Festival 2026 will welcome visitors from February 11 to February 20, 2026 (Dec 24th to Jan 4th, Lunar calendar), under the theme “Spring of Unity”. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 6:00 PM on February 11, 2026 (Dec 24th, Lunar calendar).
The 2026 Phu My Hung Spring Flower Festival will feature decorative mini-scenes and ornamental plants covering a total area of approximately 7,000 square meters, arranged continuously along a 700-meter stretch by The Crescent Lake. Together, they will create a vibrant flower street rich in Tet colors and festive atmosphere. Continuing the diversity and creativity of previous themes – such as Back to the Village, Harvest Season, Warm Spring, Fortune Parade, Flowers and Life, Spring Waters of Love, Colors of Unity, Joyful Spring, Prosperous Spring, Family Reunion, and Spring of Celebration this year’s festival, welcoming Tet 2026, will be presented under the theme “Spring of Unity”. The theme offers a springtime journey expressed through flowers, light, and visual art.
The theme Spring of Unity reflects the spirit of unity and development in the new phase of Phu My Hung City Center in particular, and Ho Chi Minh City in general, while welcoming a warm, joyful, and vibrant spring for the nation. It symbolizes harmony, integration, and expansion, where people, communities, and living spaces come together to create a dynamic, modern, and sustainable city. Spring of Unity represents not only the intersection of tradition and modernity, but also a bridge linking newly merged regions, connecting generations, and uniting communities both domestically and overseas, fostering solidarity and shaping the future together.
The theme is prominently showcased through the central mini-scene Spring of Unity – Steadfast Steps into the Future, located at the heart of Phu My Hung Flower Street 2026. Inspired by the modern Metro line, this installation symbolizes strong connectivity and urban development following the city’s merger. Beneath the winding Metro structure are stylized symbols of Ho Chi Minh City (Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market, Central Post Office), Binh Duong (the Winged Seed Tower, industrial zones), and Ba Ria – Vung Tau (lighthouse, fishing boats, ocean waves), all rendered through artistic lines and lighting. Together, they represent integration and the formation of a broader, more developed Ho Chi Minh City.

Another highlight of Phu My Hung Flower Street 2026 is a series of mini-scenes featuring the zodiac animal of the year – the horse. At the entrance, a 4.5-meter-tall horse sculpture, formed from modern polygonal blocks, rises powerfully beside a sturdy bamboo hedge, symbolizing aspirations for breakthroughs in a new era. Nearby, the mini-scene Spring of Triumph – Glory of the Nation recreates the legend of Saint Giong, a folk tale symbolizing the miraculous strength and indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people.

Adjacent to the Saint Giong scene is the Four Seasons of Fragrance horse carriage cluster, featuring four rustic carriages once a familiar means of transport in Vietnamese villages now filled with fresh flowers in shades of orange, yellow, pink, and red, representing the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Bamboo and wooden materials, combined with native plants, create a lively and cheerful rhythm. Above, colorful ribbons stretch like spring sails catching the wind, filling the space with festive joy.

The zodiac horse continues to appear in the mini-scene Spring of Vigorous Rise – Horses Galloping to Success, which harmoniously blends rustic materials to convey messages of progress and achievement. Eight life-sized horse models, crafted from wood-grain materials in a minimalist yet powerful style, appear to surge forward together, symbolizing determination and the overcoming of challenges.

The mini-scene Cultural Roots – Heritage Passed On introduces visitors to images and information about various horse breeds, offering educational insights into the zodiac animal of 2026. Built primarily from natural bamboo and rattan, the rustic space resembles a traditional communal house. Inside, paintings and photographs are displayed within arched frames, evoking cultural continuity.

Other notable mini-scenes include welcoming gates and floral clusters placed at key intersections from Nguyen Van Linh – Nguyen Khac Vien to various points along the flower street, serving as popular check-in spots while conveying the festival’s messages. Rhythm of Vietnamese Bamboo, constructed from bamboo stylized into soft nipa palm leaves, evokes the historic land of Nha Be, now part of Phu My Hung City Center. The Calligraphy Street, featuring modern, open, and minimalist architecture, honors the Tet tradition of calligraphy as a bridge between heritage and contemporary life. The colorful 2026 installation stands out as a highlight for capturing springtime memories, with golden numbers set against a red background of traditional motifs and vibrant flower carpets, accompanied by a red horse symbolizing prosperity and ambition.

On Crescent Lake, the mini-scene Sails Reaching Far recalls the familiar fishing villages of Ba Ria – Vung Tau, now merged with Ho Chi Minh City, while expressing the spirit of exploration and aspiration. The scene features basket boats, fishing vessels, and colorful sails. At sunset, artistic lighting illuminates the installation, transforming it into a symbolic lighthouse guiding journeys at sea.

The Phu My Hung Spring Flower Festival – Tet 2026 also includes a folk games area for children, featuring nostalgic wooden rocking horses. Nearby is a vibrant field of cosmos and mustard flowers, topped with LED-lit domes resembling rainbows arching across the sky.
In addition to the Flower Street, the festival will host a Tet Flower Market, open from February 8 to noon on February 16, 2026 (from Dec 21st to 29th, Lunar calendar). The market will feature more than 100 vendors offering plants and ornamental flowers from gardens in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap, Ben Tre, and other provinces, serving the Tet shopping needs of residents in the city center and surrounding communities.
