Phu My Hung Flower Festival – Year of the Horse 2026: Must visit “Check-in” Spots

With the theme “Spring of Unity”, Phu My Hung Flower Festival 2026 offers a dazzling spring journey along Crescent Lake. Below are the standout mini-scenes and must-visit “check-in” highlights awaiting visitors.

Right at the entrance, visitors are greeted by a striking giant horse mascot standing 4.5 meters tall. Departing from traditional forms, this year’s horse embodies a contemporary spirit through bold polygonal geometry, proudly set beside a sturdy bamboo village hedge. This iconic check-in spot symbolizes the breakthrough energy of the new year, blending modern aesthetics with a distinctly Vietnamese soul and setting an inspiring tone for the spring journey ahead.

Moving into the central area, the main mini-scene vividly conveys the festival’s theme Spring of Unity through the image of a modern metro line weaving overhead. This symbolic structure links iconic architectural landmarks from newly merged localities, forming a vision of an expanded and thriving Ho Chi Minh City. The installation “Spring of Unity – Stepping into the Future” harmoniously combines stylized elements of Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market with Binh Duong’s Winged Seed Tower and Vung Tau’s Lighthouse, creating a multi-layered, emotionally resonant backdrop. This is an ideal spot to capture the spirit of a city growing stronger through regional unity following administrative expansion.

Another highlight of this year’s Flower Street lies in the diverse interpretations of the horse mascot. At the Saint Gióng mini-scene, visitors are immersed in the heroic spirit of Vietnamese legend, while just steps away, the “Four Seasons of Blossoms” rustic horse carts open up a poetic and nostalgic space. Filled with fresh flowers in orange, yellow, pink, and red – symbolizing the four seasons – these carts rest beneath vibrant sail-like structures, forming a perfect setting for traditional áo dài spring photography.

A showcase of refined craftsmanship and symbolism can be found in the “Spring of Vigorous Start” installation, featuring a cluster of eight life-size horse models finished in a wooden texture. Designed in a minimalist yet powerful style, the dynamic herd overcoming obstacles conveys the message “Mã Đáo Thành Công” (Success upon the arrival of horses), expressing hopes for a smooth, prosperous, and auspicious new year.

Beyond the mascot installations, visitors can explore the exhibition area “Cultural Roots – Heritage Passed On”, which presents fascinating insights into horse breeds from Vietnam and around the world. Set within a bamboo-inspired space, the displays combine imagery and informative content to deepen visitors’ understanding of the origins, characteristics, and cultural significance of different horse breeds.

Taking full advantage of Crescent Lake’s scenic waterscape, the “Sails Reaching Far” mini-scene emerges as a visual centerpiece. Basket boats paired with glowing sails and artistic lighting cast shimmering reflections across the lake, transforming the scene into a dreamlike voyage reminiscent of coastal fishing villages. The journey concludes in a vibrant cosmos flower field beneath sparkling LED arches, leading into the modernized Street of Calligraphy Masters, where spring calligraphy traditions are reimagined to connect past and present.

The Phu My Hung Spring Flower Festival 2026 will officially take place from February 11 to February 20, 2026 (from the 24th day of the 12th lunar month to the 4th day of Tet). With thoughtful investment in both scale and artistic depth, the festival promises to be an ideal destination for spring outings — offering fresh experiences and unforgettable moments for residents and visitors alike in Ho Chi Minh City during the festive season.
