On August 12, 2025, a resident reported the theft of a black motorcycle in Phu My Hung City Center. Upon receiving the report, Phu My Hung security forces alerted the authorities and increased surveillance, coordinating patrols across local roads.
At around noon on August 15, security officers spotted a red motorcycle with license plate number 84K4-… (identified as being linked to the recent theft) traveling along Nguyen Luong Bang Street, heading from Tan My Market into Phu My Hung.
Security personnel immediately notified the police for assistance. At the intersection of Nguyen Luong Bang and Pham Thieu streets, when ordered to stop for inspection, both suspects attempted to flee. The male suspect was subdued on the spot, while the female suspect tried to escape but was quickly pursued and detained. Both individuals, along with the vehicle, were handed over to the Tan Hung Ward Police for further investigation.
At the police station, the male suspect identified himself as N.V.Đ (born in 1992, from Tan Vinh Loc Commune, Ho Chi Minh City), and the female suspect as L.T.N.C (born in 1976, from Cau Ong Lanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). Both admitted to stealing the motorcycle and pawning it for VND 5 million.
