At approximately 11:30 AM on May 7, 2025, Phu My Hung Security detected a blue electric motorbike with license plate 59TA… via the surveillance camera system. The vehicle was suspected to be connected to a previous theft at Crescent Mall and was observed entering the Phu My Hung from the direction of the District 7 Court.
Security forces were immediately mobilized to track the suspect. At 11:55 AM, surveillance footage captured a young man entering Store D (4th floor, Crescent Mall) and discreetly stealing a hairdryer valued at nearly VND 2 million. The suspect quickly exited the store, proceeded to the ground floor, and approached his parked vehicle.
Upon noticing Phu My Hung Security approaching, the suspect attempted to flee. After a brief chase, he was apprehended near a restaurant on Ton Dat Tien Street. The suspect was then detained and handed over to Tan Phu Ward Police, along with the stolen items and vehicle, for further investigation and legal proceedings.
At the police station, the suspect—identified as H.A.Q (born in 2003, residing in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City)—admitted to committing two thefts at Crescent Mall: a hairdryer stolen on May 7, 2025 and cosmetics worth nearly VND 1 million stolen on April 19, 2025.
