On the morning of January 11, 2025, the 20th Lawrence S. Ting Charity Walk, carrying the message “Footsteps of Sharing,” took place at The Crescent, Phu My Hung, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. The event attracted over 7,000 participants, who walked together along a 2.1 km route, celebrating 20 years of this meaningful community activity.
As an annual event, the charity walk is organized by Phu My Hung Corporation in collaboration with the People’s Committees of Districts 7, 8, Nha Be, and Binh Chanh. The event not only promotes the spirit of physical exercise but also fosters community support, especially during the Lunar New Year season.
Thanks to the collective efforts of organizations, individuals, and businesses, this year’s Lawrence S. Ting Charity Walk raised VND 3.4 billion.
The entire amount will be donated to the “For the Poor” Funds of Districts 7, 8, Nha Be, and Binh Chanh; the “Chung Mot Tam Long” Fund of Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV); the Supporting Fund for Sports Talents under the HCMC Department of Culture and Sports; and other charitable entities.
Over its 20-year history, the event has drawn more than 239,000 participants and raised over VND 51 billion to support those in need. This remarkable achievement is made possible by the generosity of philanthropists, organizations, and businesses that have consistently supported the initiative.
The 20th Lawrence S. Ting Charity Walk stands as a testament to the power of unity and community contributions. It continues to be a meaningful event, spreading the spirit of sharing throughout the Phu My Hung community and beyond.
