The Vietnamese Youth Photography Team, consisting of three students from Lawrence S. Ting School, Duong Ngoc Lan Anh, Quach Kien Phong, and Do Minh Duc Tri, was honored with two prestigious awards at The 10th International Youth Photography Festival 2025, recently held in Japan.
These students were selected to represent Vietnam after surpassing numerous high school teams nationwide in a talent search for young photographers.
The 10th International Youth Photography Festival 2025 took place in Higashikawa City, Japan, from August 18 to 24, 2025, with 16 teams from 15 countries competing, including Japan, Vietnam, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Australia, Latvia, Myanmar, France, Mongolia, Laos, Luxembourg, and Colombia.

Over the course of a week, the teams traveled to various locations around Higashikawa, such as Mount Asahidake, Asahidake Gensui Park, and Kitoushi Forest, to complete both team and individual photo assignments. Each day of competition was intense and highly demanding, with participants showcasing sharp thematic thinking, diverse perspectives, and strong technical skills in photography.
Under the guidance of photographer Nguyen Ba Han and team leader Tran Hoang Phuc Thinh, and with the dedication and determination of all members, the Vietnamese Youth Photography Team was announced as a winner at the awards ceremony with two distinctions: Special Prize (Online voting award for the most outstanding photo collection); Best Individual Photo Award: Quach Kien Phong (selected by teachers and fellow teams during the competition).
This remarkable achievement is not only a source of honor for Lawrence S. Ting School but also a testament to the talent and creativity of Vietnam’s young generation on the international stage.
